Cardinal Overlook

Students attend the award-winning School Districts. PLSAS prides itself on the many environmental learning opportunities that have become part of the district’s unique culture. The state’s only district has an environmental education program that grows with students from early childhood to high school. The K-12 schools are the first district-wide E-STEM schools in the state of Minnesota. E-STEM stands for Environmental Education, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The district also has a strategic plan written by administrators and community members to help focus its goals for the future. PLSAS is home to seven full-day Kindergarten through fifth-grade elementary schools, including a Spanish Immersion School; one early childhood center; a school for gifted learners in grades 3-5; two middle schools for grades 6-8; an Area Learning Center for students in grades 9-12; and a high school serving students in grades 9-12.
